A very warm welcome to Bible By Day, where I seek to meditate on the riches found in God’s Word.
My name is Will. I am a Christian, husband, biblical scholar, and writer, and the adoptive father of a Cavoodle (Cavapoo in some places) called Molly. I am originally from the UK, but have been in Australia since 2014, where I presently live in the Blue Mountains, an UNESCO World Heritage Site west of Sydney.
Some things I love: the changing colours and scents of the seasons, a good coffee, Bach, the Cornish coast, the Peak District, George Herbert’s poetry, and Isaac Watt’s hymns.
Most recently, until 2021, I worked as a theological college lecturer, specialising in the New Testament, at Moore Theological College, Sydney. Before then—after several years of pastoral ministry in different contexts—I completed a PhD at the University of Cambridge on the interpretation of Romans 7 (published as “Romans 7 and Christian Identity”), while also working as an affiliated lecturer at the university.
